keeping busy

___It's been quite crazy lately. Some of my friends are already leaving for college (two just left yesterday on my birthday), and I'm leaving next week, so I've been cramming in as many "last" hangouts as I can before we all go our separate ways. This outfit was a quick, simple way of looking nice but still casual as I went out to dinner for my one friend, while simultaneously having a bit of a birthday dinner as well. It's kind of like my go-to outfit--shorts, flats, vest, peace sign necklace.
___Goodbyes are always so hard and incredibly awkward (especially because I don't cry), and saying goodbye to my two friends wasn't very easy. It's strange to think that two people who I'm used to seeing every day in the school year won't be around until November for fall break. But I'm also kind of excited, because I can't wait to see how college changes all of us. I do hope it's for the better and not for the worst, like what happens to some people.

  2. It was so hard for me to move away, I cried like a baby! But I was getting tired of high school, I never felt like I fit in, and I definitely feel like I've changed (for the better, I hope!) since going to university. :)

  4. I know the feeling. I am not the type of person to cry over a goodbye either. I am sure your feelings are just as strong as theirs. You are definitely going to have the time of you life in these coming years.

  17. aww don't worry, technologies are so advance today, you can always chat or skype, although it won't feel as real, but at least you'll always keep in touch, and on the bright side you'll always have more stories to tell to each other everyday! :D

  18. I can really understand about saying goodbyes! It's really hard because you'll never know if they're going to be the same person you know. Some people change and some people don't. I've learned to accept that and move on at one point. But your true friends will always be there for you! xoxoxoxoxoxoo

  19. I very vividly remember moving away to college. And since our birthdays are two days apart, I can understand how nerve wracking it can be. My birthday was the day after I moved into college and none of the friends were there and I thought it would be the worst birthday ever. But my entire hall surprised me with a party and a cake and that is when i KNEW college was going to be amazing. Even though these first goodbyes are hard, you will be surprised at the deep a long lasting friendships you will form in college!
