another DIY attempt...

___Here's a DIY attempt I did a while ago, but I never managed to photograph for here. I remember seeing something similar on Urban Outfitters a while ago, and I wanted to try it out on my own piece of clothing! I wore it to school in the fall with a skirt and got a bunch of comments about parts of my top missing!
___I think if I did this again, I would place the cuts a little better so that I don't have to worry about what underwear to pair with it! And obviously I'd never wear it just like this. That's a bit too much skin for daily wear!
What do you think of these cutouts? Yay or nay?

PS My room is kind of a total mess, apologies for that!

  1. No need to apologize, my room is way messier. Love the color of the dress and it's good you tried to cut the holes yourself. You did a good job

  2. Yes, I know the outfits are great. Nana is such a cool character, she's my favorite. Hachi is kind of mellow and naive, but anyway, I don't want to ruin it for you. The thing is the mangaka, Ai Yazawa is pretty sick since last year so that's why she stopped working on it. Hope she recovers soon, the last chapters were so intense.

  8. I like cutout dresses but usually prefer the cutouts on the back... You, however, totally pull this off! And gorgeous color on you.

  9. I have to ask where it was so hot you got a tan. You don't have to give me too many specifics, but are you in SoCal? I live at the beach and we sat in a foggy haze all weekend with the exception of maybe 3-4 hours on the fourth before we donned jackets and FROZE.

Pass the scissors - I need to cut up the clouds!

    ps - rad DIY!!
