___Life has been ridiculously busy since graduation, and I just know it's going to continue on in this manner until I leave for school. With swim practice and dry land for about two-three hours in the morning starting at seven to lifeguarding and swim instructing, I feel horribly trapped in this "I need money now" mindset. I'm exhausted and cranky and, as a result, insanely childish. With my friends jet-setting off to Florida for senior week or Vienna and Prague or Trinidad for vacation, I feel trapped in this annoying little town! I know I'm at a pause between chapters in my life, and I just can't wait for the other one to begin!
___I wish I didn't have to focus so much on swimming and making money, and could escape to the beach all on my own for some time. I'd like to read through all these books I've just gotten, wear my boater hat out and about, and simply soak in the sun (under SPF 30, of course) without interactions with other human beings. Or..actually, I'd love to be in Madrid or Taipei interning under some entertainment company and learning about something I actually want a future in! Sorry, but lifeguarding, as nice it seems, kills your soul! Sitting and watching other people enjoy their lives is not something I see my future as.
Blah! I just need a good night's sleep, and I'll be cheery once more!
money money money cant live without it...sadly

Oh I know just how you feel. I have been working my butt off the last two weeks and neglecting my books. :( I hope things get a little better for you.
ReplyDeleteHope a good night's sleep will do the trick. That and a dose of sunshine should help too!
ReplyDeleteAww, don't worry! Soon you'll be able to have fun! I know what you mean though, I'll be working all summer too and worrying about money (I just have mon-wed next week where I'm not working...otherwise its work work work

Those look so pretty!
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the Penguin clothbound classics? They're fairly inexpensive on Amazon (for hard covers)...but they have pretty, vintage wallpaper covers.
Hi gorgeous! Sorry to hear you're feeling this way. Hope it all gets less stressful soon so you can enjoy your summer! <3
ReplyDeleteI love to read some of those classic books too, especially Jane Austen's :] and cheer up dear! I think you'll be able to have another fun in the beach. hehe

Honestly, I cannot imagine a more satisfying way to spend the summer than clad in a bikini by the beach escaping into all sorts of magical stories! :)
ReplyDeleteDon´t worry your time will come. This is an old cliché but it still rings true: No pain, no gain. Sleep on what you´re feeling right now and tom you´ll be a lot better. :)
ReplyDeleteOn a lighter note, love your hat! ;)
A good nights sleep fixes everything! xx
ReplyDeleteReally hope you get through this. We all have this moments in life when nothing seems to turn out like we wanted to.
ReplyDeleteOn a brighter note, I just noticed that you have a quote from Hana Yori Dango at your profile. It was the best J-Drama ever, Matsumoto Jun is a great actor/singer.

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean...it reminds me of working at retail..where I fold and watch people come to the store and shop! I remembered feeling like I want to shop instead so bad!! But I think to be a good mood, you have to be positive and think of how you're not going to be like that forever and better opportunities are going to come your way! xoxoxoxoxo
