I've gotten into the top college of my choice =)
The only problem is financial, and I hope it can be solved. I don't want to not go to my dream school simply because I will be in debt in my future. As foolish as it sounds, I feel I've given up too much and worked too hard these past years to "settle" knowing I could've been somewhere else.
But any how, that's not the point of this post. College acceptances have gotten me thinking about the different setting of a campus to my suburban life. For instance, walking everywhere whether
in rain or sun or snow (especially snow) drastically changes a wardrobe, doesn't it? After all I cannot just run out in heels or flats if it's snowing like I do here. It was raining the other day, so ideas for what to wear in such situations without turning into another wet dog in an incredibly unattractive jacket has been on my mind.
We must begin with shoes, after all cold feet is the most uncomfortable situation ever. Rain boots are a must, but a certain color is not. Depending on your personal style, any color, pattern combination will work perfectly with you. I tend towards basics, such as simple black or Burberry print, with maybe red to be bold, but really anything will do. Find whatever boot you love and wear it with pride.
Next comes the jacket. I personally prefer the classic trench coat (in black or tan), but any jacket will really do. Stick to a fabric that won't get ruined in the rain and a cut that will not overwhelm you. One key point to keep in mind is this: If makes entirely too much noise when you simply move your arm, chances are it's not a good choice.
And lastly is the umbrella. Black, of course, is an easy choice, but I've always felt a colorful umbrella will brighten up the gray day.
Good luck with your rainy day!

Oh yes, I love Anne of Green Gables so so much and I devour Jane Austen books!! I read them over and over again! They're my top favourites! It's always nice to find a kindred spirit and find someone who loves the same things you do:)
