confessions of a shopaholic

___Went for some legitimate mall trip shopping today for the first time in forever. (Literally months. I'm pretty sure I was going through withdrawal, I kid you not). Though I certainly did not spend nearly as much as I usually do, I did pick up some nice pieces are Urban Outfitters as they're currently having the best sale ever (50% off sale items). H&M had a pretty amazing sale as well, but I think we wound up at the end of it because not much was left.
___Speaking of "we," because I'm obviously not schizo, I went with my friend Alex. You may remember her from one of my interviews, seen here. I lugged around my new camera, which can get quite heavy in a purse, and only snapped these four pictures... I felt awkward bringing it out in a mall, like I was a tourist or something...
___Mm speaking of feeling like an idiot, I was totally scammed (well not really scammed) by some lady selling nail buffers. She held out a Reeses and, with her thick Russian accent, asked us if we'd like free chocolate. So I said yes, and then all of a sudden she was showing me how to professionally buff my nails. My two thumbs were stripped of their polish and made to shine. And then she tried to sell me the stuff, to which I said no, and I never got my free chocolate. I'm a tad miffed at that...
___And I just realized all my transitions begin with "speaking of which"... Ah well, my writing skills are ever evolving. Swimming is ending soon, so hopefully I'm breaking out my camera more often! Hope everyone is enjoying summer; mine is slowly improving!

PS My hair doesn't normally look like I have hair plugs... My bangs are just flying all over the place because I need to get a proper hair cut again.
PPS Outfit: Dress-Heritage1981, Sunglasses-Urban Outfitters, Sandals-Kohls. I don't know about Alex's, sorry!

  1. I can't actually remember the last time I went shopping. There are very few proper clothes shops here in Bangladesh (for Western clothes, but I don't really want to go and buy traditional clothes right now) but in London I lived around 10 minutes away from the busiest shopping street in the city. I'm getting shopping withdrawals too... normally at this time I start crazily shopping online but I'm trying to resist, haha!

Glad to hear your summer is improving & hope it continues to get better! :)

  4. Don't you just love summer sales? Aw, that's awful she should have kept her promise and give you the chocolate.

About Nana, yes, I know but I was kind of happy for her since Takumi was her all time crush. Still, poor Nobu, at least Takumi took responsibility for her kid even though she doesn't know who the father is.
