____Hmm, so thoughts on this season of "Gossip Girl"? I definitely felt a shift from the teenaged drama of the first two season to a more adult feeling. Though I think this season made that shift a lot more smoothly than "The O.C."-- which hopefully means it will last more than four seasons. I won't even really cover Dan and Vanessa, because seriously both characters could be removed and the show would be unaffected.
____Though in retrospect if Chace Crawford wasn't so pretty, the show could probably off him as well. But at least his story line was incorporated with all the other characters. Did anyone else feel that Dan and Vanessa were a separate entity entirely? I did feel that Nate's whole relationship with Serena kind of meshed, but was insanely boring at the same time.
____Speaking of Serena, her daddy issues were slightly interesting this season. Though throwing in Carter was just irritating. I'm glad we got to meet Dr. van der Woodsen, though I hope he doesn't continue making appearances.
___Because as much as I love Michelle Trachtenberg, I cannot stand Georgina's recurring appearances. Just. Let. Her. Go. And her big whammy at the end of the finale felt kind of trite. But I am interested in how Dan will deal with being a dad, though I wouldn't put it pass the writers to either have her a) majorly faking it or b) lying and the daddy is really someone else. 
____Speaking of whammies, Chuck's ending?! I did adore Blair and Chuck's relationship all season, and was sorely pissed off about the whole Jack fiasco, and I'm hoping him and Blair make up early in season four. I don't think I can deal with another season of them not together--ala season two-- and getting together right at the end. The whole sleeping with Jenny was enormously gross too, by the way. And for the first time ever I felt bad for her when she left.Sorry if this post seems slightly scattered! Typing in the middle of class will do that. But, what are you thoughts on season 3 of "Gossip Girl"? Favorite season ever or...?

ReplyDeleteI wish that I had watched this show, I never got around to it. I have always felt a little "too old" to watch it, since I am 24. But then I get this blog and found out TONS of people my age watch it. I guess I should rent them from netflicks.

ReplyDeleteI was less hooked on this season than previous ones. In the nicest way possible, I could happily kill Serena and Jenny. Both were very anoying this season! I'm getting bored of the fact that they've never actually given Nate a proper storyline and Blair seemed slightly nicer, which I wasn't a fan of. So overall, not a fan of this season. The Dr Van der Woodson storyline was realtively interesting.

I agree with most of your thoughts... I hate Georgina and I won't miss her if she leaves. I hope she does. And I agree with the Dan and Vanessa thing too. They won't be missed either. And I would love to see Blair and Chuck together again. I find their relationship the most interesting. xoxo

Haha I thought it was funny when Georgina surprised Dan with her belly, but if it was his I don't know why Georgina didn't go to him first. And I hope Chuck & Blair get back together soon too! It would've been so sweet if he proposed!

ReplyDeleteI haven't been speculating too much on Gossip Girl, but I think I tend to agree with you. Georgina's pregnancy was kind of a shocker, but the thought that hit me right after the shock was that the daddy will probably turn out to be someone else. I'm pretty sure of that.

i love gossip girl but i dont know if i like how it ended. like really chuck? i just love him and blair no matter what happens its just them. and georgina is a fake! hehe

Mmmh, I'm definitely with you on Georgina. Not HER again I thought when she walked in. Yes, Dan and Vanessa are boredem per se, but actually everything felt a bit too settled for me, so I'm happy they've mixed it all up in the last show - Everything is possible now! (and I sure hope Blair understands how much she actually love Chuck!!!)
