the greatest love story ever told is your own

Wow, I feel like I've seen and done so much since my last post. There are movies I've seen and movies I'm dying to see. I've had one of my big swim meets. My mock trial team, sadly, did not move on, but we made to the quarter finals. I've been reading Middlemarch like a nut. I checked out the Jean Paul Gaultier for Target collection, which I feel will be disappointing, slightly tacky, and annoyingly limited like the Anna Sui one. And I've been messing around with my blog layout. After getting all the votes, etc, and testing out all the headers, I decided to go in a completely different direction and keep it simple. As far as I know, the layout you see now is the one I'm keeping, though this can always change (I can't make decisions, obviously.)
But that's a whirlwind of information, and I'm exhausted from a two day swim meet, so I'll focus on one thing: a movie I am dying to see: Letters to Juliet. It makes me nostalgic for Italy; it has my favorite Taylor Swift song "Love Story" in the trailer, and it has two love stories to focus on. Oh and it features possibly the most romantic historical landmark I have ever heard of: Juliet's Wall.
The idea? There is a place in Verona where the famous balcony scene in Romeo & Juliet could have taken place. There is a wall here where you can write a letter to Juliet and place it within its confines, asking the queen of tragic love for help. How beautiful is this? I've made it one of my "Things to do before I die" goals. Here are some notes I've found so far:

"There are still a few gallant young men in the world today, and a precious few they are. What happened to the gentlemen of your time?"

"I saw her face in one of the photos. her big black eyes were shining. She had clothes that were all in pieces and dirty. I knew that I had found the girl of my life."

Would you ever write to Miss Juliet?

PS I have started a project called It's a Love Story. Do check it out, and if you have any of your own, let me know!

  12. The wall is such a beautiful idea. I need to read up on the movie. Don't know if I'd need Ms. Juliet's help, but if I were single, I think I'd be writing her a letter!
