lauren conrad for kohl's

___So, I'm not the biggest fan of Lauren Conrad. It's not like I'm one of those crazed, jealous individuals who hate her with a passion (wow, that's so fifth grade, isn't it?), but she's always been kind of whatever to me-- typical wealthy reality t.v. star with gorgeous looks, guys, and a seemingly easy lifestyle. And maybe a little jealousy because, after all, she has two books published and I barely have one written, not to mention a stint at Teen Vogue and designer clothes...
___But, I gotta say, I'm incredibly impressed with her line for Kohl's. I've found myself wanting just about every piece in the collection. After seeing her original debut collection (which was way overpriced for me to consider buying) and seeing her line for Kohl's online (also seemingly a tad overpriced), I was left with "Oh whatever, it'll be like Avril Lavigne's really horrible line. I'll just see it and walk by.
___I was totally, totally wrong. The colors are all spring and light, so those photographs really wash them out. In real life, on the racks, every single piece was gorgeous. And, Kohl's being Kohl's, already had them all on sale for about 30% off. Not to mention my mother had another 30% off... Needless to say I got a pink ruffle skirt for my friend's birthday and the faux-leather leggings for myself.
___I would say if you have access to a Kohl's, go by and check it out. I'm planning on purchasing the faux leather jacket and floral dress pictured in the second row. Everything is fairly inexpensive right now since all the prices are on sale (wait til some of it makes its way to the clearance rack!) and everything is so simple and adorable. She hits some trends for low prices and has some adorable, flattering dress and shirts. The blue dress up top is especially beautiful in person.
What do you think of it?

  6. This is quite a pretty collection... I'm loving the dresses. Sadly we don't have Kohl's here in Manila. I have to wait until May when I go back to US before I can visit any store. Thanks for sharing the collection and thanks too for the review. xoxo

  13. if it makes you feel any better, she probably had a bunch of people design the line for her. however it is pretty impressive that Kohls picked up her line...they just did a Vera Wang collection. not bad company to be in!

  17. It's times like these that make me sad about living on the otherside of the world where everyone is starting to dress for winter whereas the majority of people in blogland are getting excited for spring and summer fashion! Not fair!

I agree, the blue dress is looovely...
