My friend Alex is one of the few of my friends who is as obsessed with fashion, Gossip Girl, and Spanish as I am. Ironically enough we met through swimming, wearing lovely one pieces, swim caps, and goggle marks. Needless to say, it took a bit of time before we realized the fashion-aholics in both of us.

But, once that discovery was made, we've been excitedly talking Urban Outfitters, Red Carpet, and GG speak since then. Unlike me, who has zero talent with a sewing needle, Alex is off to art school to become a fashion designer. So, I thought,I'd figure out what it's like to be a future fashion designer, and share it with everyone. =)
Personal style?
I guess I could describe my personal style as really girly, a little innocent, and colorful. I love colors, and I also love floral prints for all year round- not just spring and summer
Inspirations?
I get inspirations from other people I see on the street, and sometimes architecture. also different cultures from around the world
Favorite piece you've ever made?
That pink skirt is probably the favorite piece I've ever made- hopefully my prom dress will override that after I make it {pink skirt is center picture above}
Favorite Stores/Designers?
My favorite store is urban outfitters and i would have to say my favorite designer is marc jacobs. I love his marc by marc jacobs collection- it's so colorful and it reminds me South America. I also really like Betsy Johnson dresses.
Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?
10 years from now I want to at least have my own store, and hopefully I'll eventually get to the point where I have my own label and am showing my designs all over the world.
So, um, I call front row when she shows at fashion week, just sayin'.
PS RIP Alexander McQueen
