a need for relaxation

Perfect setting.
Sorry my posting has been rather lacking this week, but it's been rather busy here. And being an athlete in high school makes it extremely hard to dress nicely all the time or find inspiration--especially the brutal mornings that start with cold water by 5:45 am. Not to mention the typical high school drama--friends, boys, stupidly taking hard courses...

But tomorrow is Friday, and after swim practice, I think I'm entitled to a nice evening of doing exactly what Brigitte Bardot is doing--albeit a lot less classier & pretty looking. It shall be me, my Ipod, and a book. Speaking of which, I've just finished Empire Falls. It was absolutely, insanely amazing. I'm now onto a chick lit/lighter read (I try to rotate it...), entitled Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict.

So sit back and relax with me, and let's try and survive the rest of this awful winter.

  4. Oh I can so much relate with the swim practice. Come rain, shine or snow (in your case), I had to wake-up really early to practice before school. And that's everyday right?

Then I subjected my boys to the same torture, they are swimmers too.

Hope you have a relaxing weekend. You deserve it. xoxo

  6. Love the picture! I never was very much of an athlete at school, I sucked at sports but I know how tiring school can be and it's great to be able to relax sometime.
