a.b.c.= abby bakes cakes

Abby is the chef of my friends. She bakes and makes the most delicious icing I've ever tasted in my life. She's kindly agreed to let me interview her for this little blog. Get your sweet tooth ready to ache.

I would love to live in a suburban area right outside of a city where I could commute in to my cute little bakeshop and serve people coffee and cupcakes while they read books and newspapers.

Well i just finished making my first pie- apple. Also on my list for Christmas, are truffles, peanut brittle, and peanut butter balls.

The piece I'm most proud of is your birthday cake. I thought it turned out the best of any cakes I have made and decorated. Also, i'm pretty excited about the apple pie I've made.
{said cake is right above, it was as delicious as it looks!}

My advice? Well, I'm still a big noob, but i would just say to have fun and experiment with different recipes. If you mess up, don't worry about it! That's how you learn. Also, don't be afraid to make a mess- sometimes its more fun that way!

- 1 stick of butter- softened
- 3 to 4 cups of confectioners sugar
- 3 to 4 tablespoons of milk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Here are a few tips: I would always try the 4 cups of confectioners sugar to 3 tablespoons of milk. If you have too much milk, the icing isn't as thick. I tend to like the icing more concentrated (thick) because it makes the icing taste better. But for a softer consistency, add more liquid. and vice versa.
Told you, your sweet tooth will ache. Lucky me, she's made a list of recipes to try, and I chose double chocolate cheesecake (or something along the cheesecake line!).
Say Hi to the chef, she reads this blog!
