q:what does gossip girl and dragonball z have in common?

a: They're both now mangas.

That's right, Gossip Girl has been turned into a manga. As a person who personally enjoys reading manga (the shojo, school life-esque stuff), I'm quite amused and entertained by this. I mean, I never remotely saw it coming, so I have no idea what to think. It seems the manga is picking and choosing parts of the television show and the book series to its plot. Care to see the characters mangafied?

i love seeing skins characters in magazines

Even if technically they aren't on the show anymore...

I have my Teen Vogue in hand, and while I haven't totally finished reading it, I think it's quite safe to say this month was a good month for my favorite magazine. There was not a Twilight or Disney star in sight, really, that I could tell, and they had an amazing line up of stories.

My favorite is seeing Nicholas Hoult as their male feature article. He played Tony on "Skins" series 1 & 2, in case you don't recognize him. Personally, I fell in love with Tony in series two. How could you not when he had to use swim floats to relearn how to swim?! He looks strikingly similar to a boy I once liked, but with his haircut and all around Britishness, I think that's gone away considerably. And that fact that he didn't know too much about Tom Ford made me love him even more as an actor.

I also loved the stories about blogging and, of course, the article with the beautiful Jessica Szohr. She looks absolutely stunning in this spread, and I can see why everyone raves over her beauty. It's quite difficult to appreciate when watching "Gossip Girl" (at least for me). I haven't had a chance to read the article just yet, but I'm quite excited to.

And of course, they had a couple spread this issue. You just cannot go wrong with a couple spread, especially Teen Vogue style. This one was "Wild At Heart."

PS Thank you for all the kind comments on my last post. They truly made my day so much better. I have to say I am feeling a lot better now, and my week has actually become quite happy. I have swim meets and school work and scholarships and essays to keep me company, and of course my friends =) There is definitely more to life than boys.

who else is excited for the return of skins?

Um, because I'm pretty sure I'm stoked.

This is the second round for the second generation, meaning it will be coming to a close. Last generation, they introduced a few of the characters (Effy and Pandora) in the second series, so I'm curious to see who they have lined up for generation three.
Not to mention the story lines they have for our current generation. Naomily, the cutest lesbian couple ever; Effy & Freddie (& Cook? Who I've kind of come to like, oddly enough), Pandora & Thomas (SO adorable), Katie and then JJ (my favorite character). I'm feeling it'll probably involve drugs, alcohol, confusion, and maybe another episode with shrooms, ha.Pictured is a spread from FHM (I know, right?). I'm so excited, it seems forever ago that I finished series 3. I'm dying for more Effy outfits, Panda comments, and the other ridiculous antics they get themselves into. Also, would it kill them to add little anecdotes in about what's happened to generation one? I miss hearing about Cassie and Tony and Maxxie. Apparently there's a movie in the works with both generations? -crosses fingers-

PS Thank you to everyone for your kind advice towards my last post. Nothing is completely set in stone just yet, but I'm figuring things out. On step a time, right? Right now it looks like I'm going to another school I've applied to. It's so far offered me $70,000 in scholarship and it does have everything I want, so life isn't so abysmal. I had my day of moping with Love Actually and now I'm ready to be productive again. =)

until april....

"Glee" is going on a four month hiatus. If you've become utterly addicted to this ridiculously amazing show, you're feeling like a druggie taken away from cocaine like me right now. The thought of not looking forward to Wednesday nights depresses me immensely. April seems like a lifetime away! And tantalizing with the famous Broadway alums that will be on (Kristin Chenoweth will be back, Idina Menzel, Jonathon Groff!) At least they didn't leave us with any major cliff hangers. And, um, the sectionals part was amazing. Rachel's "Don't Rain on My Parade" and "Can't Always Get What You Want"!
April please hurry, kay?
