___One of my favorite movies in the entire world has to be The Man in the Moon. Also known as Reese Witherspoon's first ever movie. About a young girl, Dani, and her older, pretty sister Maureen, and their romantic entanglement with their new neighbor Court Foster. Dani is fourteen and transitioning from just a kid to the young adult she sees her sister as. When Court arrives, she experiences her first love. But Court, who is three years older than Dani, becomes attracted to Maureen and a web of disaster ensues. Of course, this all has to come to an end somehow, and the ending is truly one of tragedy. Definitely one of those perfect nostalgic kind of movies, along the lines of Now & Then and The Sandlot. And it's the movie (not Legally Blonde or Walk the Line) that made me love Reese Witherspoon. elie saab, you never disappoint

Elie Saab is a designer that never fails to disappoint me. Ever since I discovered him as the designer behind the beautiful gowns in Enchanted, I've been in love with his runway shows. I always tend to visit his store in the outlets near me, looking at the impeccable pieces that are forever out of my price range in longing.

His spring couture collection is my favorite yet. Perhaps because the fludity of the gowns, the beauty of the details, and softness apparent in the hair and make-up all make me think of mermaids and the other fantasies the ocean tends to bring. The models themselves even look as though they're walking on water.

What if someone were to recreate The Little Mermaid in the similar style that Burton is recreating Alice in Wonderland? These gowns would mesh perfectly into Ariel's transformation into a human. I can just picture it now... a beautiful actress with bright auburn locks donning each of these gowns as she transforms into a princess. Not to mention a handsome actor like Tom Sturridge or Nicholas Hoult (or perhaps older?) portraying Prince Eric.Perhaps this would be her first dress? A pale buttery yellow gown would look lovely as she sits in the grand dining room for the first time, sun streaming through the huge windows, accidentally combing her hair with a fork.

And this gown would be lovely for the scene where they nearly kiss in the boat.
And this could be that beautiful, sparkling dress Ariel wears when she emerges from the ocean to finally reunite with Prince Eric with a kiss.

And though not traditionally white for a wedding gown, how beautiful would this dress be to wear at the end for her to prepare for her happily ever after?

Ah excuse the fantasizing, the Alice in Wonderland movie has gotten me imagining all kinds of Disney movies being "stylized" as such.

Soo... along the lines of cartoons, has anyone heard of Disney's latest Princess project? I, for one, am extremely excited. Despite the fact that it seems Pixar has a hand in this one, unlike Princess & the Frog, I'm such a sucker for fairy tales. I have yet to see Princess & the Frog, but I'm definitely excited. I will also retain this childish love of mine. It seems Disney has gotten the picture that hey, we want princess movies. Who cares about a stupid hero dog or a bunch of farm animals when there's princesses? Maybe the rest of these pictures will change your mind?This latest princess looks like she'll do the two things all Disney princess have done in my life: Give me unrealistic expectations about hair and men. But, these are the two things I love most about Disney movies =) And it seems Rapunzel has an attitude, which is perfect for me. How about you? Excited for another Princess movie, annoyed at the CGI graphics, or completely indifferent?

kate hudson, why haven't i realized this before?

Kate Hudson is sort of amazing. I've always been in awe of the girls who are always smiling and seem like they're having the time of their life all the time. I mean seriously, how do you dislike a smile like that? Even if, fashionably speaking, she doesn't always get it right, her smile could probably make it work anyway.

And the fact that she sings. Wow. She's actually quite good. I don't know why I've just jumped on the bandwagon either. I mean I've always enjoyed her movies (Okay, I feel asleep during Bride Wars and when I heard the ending, I didn't bother rewinding it) like Alex & Emma, Raising Helen, You, Me, and Dupree, and, of course, How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days. I blame it on the fact that I've only just seen Almost Famous. {which was...incredible}


My friend and I are off to see Nine today, since we're the only two who've actually heard of it! I'm dying to see Kate's dance scene in the movie, and I just love all the cast. My friend's celebrity idol currently is Penelope Cruz, so it's the perfect mix.
